Amazonite ranges in hue from bright verdigris green to paler shades of turquoise, sometimes with white, yellow, or grey portions, and can be translucent to opaque. It has a vitreous luster and, when polished, resembles finely cracked or spider-webbed marble and displays a Schiller effect of pearly iridescence throughout the stone.

Amazonite is called the Stone of Courage and the Stone of Truth. It empowers one to search the self and discover one’s own truths and integrity, and to move beyond fear of judgment or confrontation with others to live in alignment with those beliefs and values.
