 The orange variety of zircon is called Jacinth. Jacinth is a semi-precious stone that is also known as hyacinth. It is a lustrous orange-yellow, orange-red, or yellow-brown type of zircon. Natural zircon is usually brownish red to brownish-yellow. When natural zircon is heat-treated the resulting stones can be colorless, yellow, green-black, or blue. This stone was worn as protection against the Black Death, and it kept this role during the Great Plague of London in 1665. 

Jacinth is an all-purpose healer, It will balance the pituitary and pineal gland. It eases bowel problems especially those caused by stress or food allergies.  Jacinth is beneficial for sciatica, insomnia, bones, muscles, vertigo, and the liver.  It is useful in clearing toxins from the body and can be used as support through withdrawal from caffeine, tobacco, or other substances. This stone will drive away nightmares and night terrors, encourage restful sleep and strengthen the heart. It is believed to reduce fevers and repel contagious diseases.

Jacinth stimulates all the chakras, bringing high-frequency energy through the crown and grounding it through the base chakra. It stimulates the flow of chi through the meridian system and can be helpful in overcoming sluggish or depressed energies.

This stone can help you feel reconciled to being a spiritual entity in a physical body, or less fearful of being a physical being opening to the Spirit.
